My definition isn’t authoritative; I may well be wrong. Re relativism: you said yourself you wish to judge whether Biden is racist by how the “majority of reasonable Americans” would judge it. That’s a changing, cultural standard relative to which you’d judge Biden.

Your comment assumes that “abuse” is clearly binary.
It doesn’t and I don’t know why you think it does. My comment allows for the possibility of gray areas. Also you’re suddenly jumping from moral judgment to legal judgment, which works differently.

I’m neither ignoring context (I’ve given an example of what his intention may be) nor is my definition of racism technical. It’s simple, commonsense, and used to be widely adopted.
